Someone started a ‘not stars of ’79’ Trust’ thread which has generated a fair bit of interest, and reading between the lines there’s plenty of enthusiasm among genuine Ton fans for a breakaway group in the unlikely event that the Trust in current form survives the ‘Stars’ fiasco.
Some who are not ‘street wise’ have bought into the latest Trust committee deception, with one poor sod even pledging to rejoin the Trust on the strength of its vibrant NEW board!
The three Trustketeers behind the ‘stitch-up’ of Jim Gallacher (Duncan, Goodwin, and Donnelly) have jumped ship along with ‘on the make’ Paul Gill.
Craig (C.B.) Dunsmore has stepped aside pending developments, while nineteen year old Ryan Deegan has effectively replaced him on the board. Deegan’s is the ONLY new face.
APART FROM HIM, EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE ‘NEW’ BOARD CLAIMS TO HAVE ‘EXAMINED ALL OF THE EVIDENCE’ AT A WATERSHED MEETING ON 24TH JUNE 2010 WHERE THEY ‘ALL AGREED’ TO IGNORE A GLARING DEFICIT IN SEAN DONNELLY’S TICKET INCOME.
IN THAT RESPECT THEY DELIBERATELY IGNORED A CONSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATION TO PROTECT MEMBERS’ FUNDS, INSTEAD UNANIMOUSLY ENDORSING COURT ACTION IN PURSUIT OF A FICTITIOUS ‘LOSS’. THAT ‘LOSS’ HAD TO BE PINNED ON DONNELLY’S INNOCENT CO-ORGANISER JIM GALLACHER IN ORDER TO ‘PROTECT THE TRUST’S GOOD NAME’.
IN TERMS OF THE ’79 FIASCO’, NICK ROBINSON WILL ULTIMATELY BE REQUIRED TO ACCOUNT IN FULL FOR HIS ACTIONS, SEVERAL OF WHICH CAST DOUBT ON HIS PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY. HE WAS WELL AWARE OF THE CHOICE TO BE MADE, OPTING FOR STUART DUNCAN’S VERSION OF EVENTS BECAUSE THAT SUITED HIS AMBITIONS.
