‘Let me assure you that Trust membership is not regarded as inconsequential, indeed it is our foremost concern. An increased membership is enabling in a number of ways…it ensures greater transparency and accountability over Trust affairs, it lends greater legitimacy to the Trust amongst the fan base and wider community, and it allows us to raise funds in order to carry out our aims and objectives. All of this has been front and centre in our discussions over the last month or two, and is something that we’ll be working hard to address in the short to medium term. We have a long way to go to regain trust, but I don’t think it is necessarily a losing battle, and I do think it is worth the considerable effort it will take to get there’
Those Trust committee members have one thing in common – they can all ‘talk for Scotland’ – ‘oot their erses’ mind!
There were only two issues of importance to the membership at Wednesday’s Morton Trust S.G.M.
Firstly Piniccio the lying accountant formally admitted that the COMMITTEE is harbouring a potential criminal who owes over £500.
Secondly Piniccio the lying accountant pronounced yet again on the COMMITTEE’S intentions to pursue Jim Gallacher for moonbeams!
For 99% of the time, the committee is perceived to act in good faith on behalf of the membership. Its actions must, however, be justified to and ratified by the membership from time to time. That is why general meetings are convened.
AT LAST NIGHT’S GENERAL MEETING NO ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER WAS MADE TO GAIN A MANDATE FOR EITHER OF THOSE ACTIONS.
That is legally and constitutionally unacceptable.
