As some may know, the Greenock Morton Supporters Trust have planned a night to celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Players and Staff who took us to the top of the Premier League away back in 1979. The Date is 6th Nov 2009, venue Port Glasgow Town Hall, 1900-0100am………..

……The aim is not to make money but to make it as cheap as possible so‘real fans’ can get along, any money that maybe made will go to the new Greenock Morton Football Acadamy.

The money raised, £5000, from last years fans game was deposited in the Trust account in the expectation that the Academy would be up and running beginning of January 2010

We had also hoped to raise another

£5000 from the ’79 night,

plus money from the sales of the DVDs on the night. We have the money from the DVD sales which if memory serves me right was around the £1600 mark. Unfortunately we never received the money we were expecting from the ’79 night.

IT JUST DOESN’T ADD UP – DOES IT MR.

DUNCAN?

You cannot refute the fact that the evening was NOT designed to run at a profit (nor a loss for that matter), nor can you refute the fact that Messrs. Morrison and (your fellow Academy Director) Goodwin – who currently faces defamation charges – flatly refused to allow the DVD proceeds to be incorporated in the Stars finances despite being an integral part of the celebration. That  income has never been incorporated in the multivarious sets of ‘accounts’ produced in an attempt to ‘stitch up’ Jim Gallacher. WHY?

You cannot refute the fact that you authorised cash payments for the speakers and caterers to cut costs and save on V.A.T. yet that Goodwin later demanded to see V.A.T. receipts for those very services as he contrived to involve the police. That series of often contradictory, theatening, and bullying emails sent to Mr. Gallacher by yourself and others will be published at an appropriate time.

Was your ‘nose  in a poke’ when no apparent profit emerged for your Academy? Did you forget that no profit was planned, AND that you still you had your DVD income?

Most of all,  had you known of Donnelly’s ~ £1500 in missing ticket money at the time, would it have made any difference when you had expected £5000 from a ‘not for profit’ event?

THAT JUST DOESN’T ADD UP

EITHER – DOES IT MR. DUNCAN?

Your tame accountant fellow Robinson may juggle with his numbers till the cows come home, and those young and ineffectual committee ‘newbies’ can get heady on your spin and lies till rigor mortis sets in, but to quote your goodself Mr. Duncan SIR,  when all’s done and dusted – when the full truth is exposed – THE FACTS AND FIGURES WON’T LIE!

Shame on you, a Trust Chairman, and a Director of Greenock Morton F.C., that they have been fed only what you wanted them to hear.

Unthinking respect for authority has been the enemy of truth from the moment non committee member ‘Honest Big Andy’ Morrison ‘read the riot act’ and you meekly marched into Rue End St. to persuade the police that Jim Gallacher was a thief.  Donnelly saw that as a chance to cover his tracks, tipping off ‘The Tilly’ and a respected message board poster.

More of Goodwin’s amoral agenda later, but for the time being Mr. Duncan, SIR you cannot refute the fact that you and your fellow committee members had a joint responsibility to ensure that the evening’s finances were run in an accountable manner as demanded in the Trust constitution.

THAT THAT WAS NOT DONE IS ULTIMATELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
